What a family beach session with me looks like
As a photographer on the Gold Coast who's been behind the lens for quite some time, I've had the privilege of capturing countless family moments. From giggles shared between siblings to tender moments between parents and their little ones, each snapshot tells a unique story. And let me tell you, these moments are priceless.
One of the things I love most about my job is capturing genuine moments. Whether it's a spontaneous laugh, a tender hug, or a loving glance, these candid moments are what make your family unique. I know how to blend into the background, allowing these moments to unfold naturally without feeling forced or staged.

What should we wear?
The most important thing is that you are comfortable and feel good! That said, I suggest you steer clear of any crazy patterns or obvious brand names. If your little one is obsessed with patterned dress or you can’t get them out of their spiderman costume though, then go for it! These photo sessions are all about capturing real life, after all, and what’s more real than a toddler obsessed with a superhero?
Can we bring our dog?
Of course! Dogs and pets are such an important part of the family, and I’d love to document all of you together. Just let me know so that we can plan your Gold Coast family portraits for a pet-friendly location.
How many images will we receive?
This depends on the package that you choose, but your gallery will include at least 50 digital images from your shoot. Once you’ve purchased your collection, you’ll then be able to choose the photos you wish to download (again, how many photos you can download varies based on the collection!!), which will be ready to share, print and cherish.
When will we receive our photos?
You’ll receive your photos via a secure, online gallery within 3 weeks of your shoot.
What happens if it rains? Can we reschedule?
Funny story! One of my absolute favourite memories of a Gold Coast family photoshoot was when we got caught in a down pour – it was really bucketing down! I wound up heading back to the family’s home, where they gave me a change of clothes and we hung out while my own clothes were in the dryer! We got some really wonderful, fun photos.
That said, rain isn’t always the best for photos – especially when there are young kids involved! – so it might be best to postpone. Only time will tell though, so let’s wait and see what the weather will be like and then decide.

Pregnancy isn’t always easy, but no matter which way you look at it, your amazing body is growing a whole person, and that is worth remembering.
And trust me, there is nothing like watching that little person’s eyes widen with wonder when you point to a photo of your swollen belly and say, ‘that was you!’.

Give yourself over to the overwhelming joy.
Photos from these days will only get better with time. When they’re a 2-year-old who’s discovered the word no, or an 11-year-old who is truly their own person, you’ll barely be able to believe they were once that small.
Soak up every expression and movement, and don’t be afraid to stay in your baby bubble for as long as possible.
