Hello! I’m Tracey.
Photographer, mother, moment seeker. When my first son was born, I was only 19-years old. It was a whirlwind of emotions – joy, love and of course, hardship – but I’m forever grateful that I had my camera by my side.
Even before he arrived, I knew I wanted to remember it all – the in-between moments, the fleeting expressions, the way he seemed to grow and change right before my eyes. I even loved photographing his changing attitude, the messy meals, his sweet tears and outrageous laughs.
Those photographs have become something steady to return to. They allow me to see that time with fresh eyes and deeper appreciation. And they aren’t just for me. They’re a record for our children - proof that they were seen, held, and deeply loved, exactly as they are.
Why Golden Sundays?
When I look back on all my best memories, they always feel like they should have happened on a Sunday.
Those lazy morning snuggles followed by endless evenings at the beach, tiny toes running away from waves until the sun melts into the ocean. Heck, looking back, I even love the mornings when, slowly but surely, a bed made for two fills up with one, then two, then three warm little bodies, eager for cuddles and kisses and to somehow take up all our space.
Golden Sundays is an ode to the childhood I want my own kids to look back on – days filled with warmth and love and the most delightful mess. It’s this very idea that inspires my photography, that leads me to document families likes yours with honest, wild hearts.
